Marcin Kozioł began learning the guitar at the age of seven. In 2019, he received a doctoral degree in musical arts from the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. As an Erasmus scholarship holder, he also studied with Professor Robert Brightmore at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

He is active as a soloist and chamber musician, developing his own artistic projects. He has performed in Poland, Sweden, Germany, Russia, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Hungary, Italy and the United Kingdom.

Marcin Kozioł also performs and promotes contemporary music. His collaborations with composers including Piotr Moss, Jacek Rabiński, Črt Sojar Voglar, Aleksandra Chmielewska and Piotr Jędrzejczyk have resulted in solo and chamber works, as well as works with orchestra, written for him. In 2024, he performed Piotr Moss's Suite concertante, dedicated to him, with the Archetti Orchestra conducted by Maciej Tomasiewicz at the 19th Silesian Guitar Autumn Festival.

In addition to his competition awards, Marcin Kozioł has received prestigious cultural awards and scholarships, including:

• Prize of the Minister of Science and Higher Education
• Nomination by the Rector of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk for the Red Rose Award for Best Student in the 2012/2013 academic year
• Cultural Scholarship of the City of Gdańsk
• Adam Mickiewicz Institute's Polish Culture Around the World Scholarship
• Scholarship of the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship

In 2026, as a scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, he is carrying out the project Panorama of Guitar Music by Women.

His achievements in chamber music include a double award in the President of the City of Gdańsk's Competition for Young Artists in Culture (2014); an invitation to undertake a concert tour of the United States, culminating in a performance at Carnegie Hall in New York as a laureate of the IBLA Grand Prize World Music Competition (2015); and, in 2016, an invitation to compose and perform music for the play Ucieczka/Flucht, in collaboration with the German theatre Das Letzte Kleinod, during a tour comprising 53 performances in Poland and Germany.

The artist has made several recordings featuring world premiere releases, including a monographic album of Piotr Moss's solo and chamber guitar music, a monographic album of works by Jerzy Bauer, and an album of Balkan chamber music dedicated to peace in the world.
